About B&B Veendijkhoeve
Directly opposite the entrance to the Weperbult, at number 11 Weperpolder, is the Veendijkhoeve. A converted farmhouse where Taco has been running a Bed & Breakfast since January 2022. That means that Taco is actually responsible for the ins and outs of the B&B. His partner occasionally helps. Both gentlemen have a job next to the B&B. For example, Taco is still a skipper on luxury saloon boats in Amsterdam. In addition, they can often be found on road bikes and mountain bikes, but most of their free time is spent with their dogs. The 3 Hungarian Vizslas Zsusa, Kende and Romeo are all rehomed from Hungary and are real cuddlers and sometimes bark but don't bite. The dogs naturally keep their distance from the guests, although they like to be petted.
Taco originally worked in the travel industry for a long time. But at some point he was done with traveling and always being on the road. That is why a B&B was started in Amsterdam in mid-2000. In 2014 he obtained his large sailing license and started working on the saloon boats. But due to corona, both activities came to a standstill for two years and it was time to think carefully about the future. This is how the men ended up in Oosterwolde in 2021, after a search for suitable living space through Fryslân.
Taco: 'Actually, things have been going well from the very beginning. People come here who want to cycle, visit an event or seek peace and quiet, but also workmen or people who come to visit family, but cannot spend the night with their relatives. You can also rent the B&B for meetings, for example. We offer breakfast anyway, but otherwise the guests are completely self-sufficient. Of course everything is negotiable in consultation. Reservations come in via Booking.com, via natuurhuisje.nl, but more and more guests come back again and book directly with us via www.veendijkhoeve.nl.

Our house
In the converted farmhouse, the owners Taco (58) and his partner have renovated the B&B part and guests now have full access to the front house. With its own front door, garden with barbecue, a spacious lounge, kitchen, a very spacious bathroom and a toilet upstairs and three bedrooms. Two bedrooms have a double bed and the third bedroom has two single beds. The B&B is always rented to one group, regardless of whether they are two or six people. For example, the facilities never have to be shared with other guests and there is optimal privacy.
